Heyy you guys!!! I hope all is well! Life is still BUSY for me at the moment, but I'm making it. Counting down until graduation...like every minute... No longer in the "first few weeks" stages of this semester anymore and I AM TIRED to say the least! However I am excited about this post, because I mean.. its the Grammy's ...like who wouldn't be excited.
Anyways lets just jump right into it.. I watched the red carpet live, and I was surprised that more well known celebrities were not covered and the coverage was not diverse...
Lets get STARTED!!!!
Bebe Rexha… you cannnnnnnot tell me she was not gorgeous! This look was seriously one of my favorites. I am surprised to see her in such a full skirt, just based off her previous looks. This color red on her skin looks amazing. She stated that it was hard for her to find a designer to work with because she was "too big".... "whereeeeee?" She looks absolutely AMAZING! This gown is designed by Monsoori.
Ashlee Simpson! Another one of my favorite looks! I really, really, really love this look! It is a very fun look. I'm glad that she chose to wear her hair slick back, otherwise I might've had a different opinion. My favorite part of the jumpsuit is that its sequined but sheer, I'm also a big fan of the feathers which is shocking to me. This jumpsuit was designed by Georges Charka.
Ella Mai. I can say I honestly loveeedddd this look of her when I ORIGINALLY saw her on the red carpet... but now I'm like...darrrling, why did you let them do this to you?? (insert crying emoji) In my defense, when I saw her it was waist up..very misleading. I do believe this is a beautiful gown, and the color looks amazing on her. I would have rather the skirt not be sooo full. It this was a fit to flare, a line, mermaid.. this dress would have been BOMB. I really hate to say that even because I loveee Ella, but c'mon every time I look at this, I am drawn to the bottom left of the gown.. mainly because that's where the majority of the weight of the fabric is. The back of the dress is beautiful. The train is absolutely amazing. She's getting swallowed by this gown. (sad face). I wish this gown could remove the crinoline, tulle, or whatever is causing the "poofiness".
Another lady in Red, Alicia Keys, tonight's host. I loveee Alicia Keys, and the fact she is still sticking to the "no makeup" in a world where it seems as the makeup industry is taking over.. people cannot seem to stop beating their faces... However she looks absolutely amazing. I love the front of this gown. It gives me vibes of Priyanka's wedding gown (refer to the buttons).
CARDI! I honestly love Cardi B, I'm not going to "go in" on her like everyone has been doing over the last 24 hours. I don't have too many opinions on this look. I wish her stylist would have saved this for a photoshoot, maybe another award show. I do understand that she was paying homage to painter Sandro Botticelli. I will say her acceptance look was no doubt my favorite out of the two. I will say when I first saw this on the carpet I immediately thought of Kim K's paper magazine cover, no correlation what so ever but that's what I got …
Lauren London. So I was very hesitant to discuss her, because 1: I love her but I hated this look. I know I'll probably receive backlash for saying it. She looks beautiful, but this dress looks cheap to me... It looks like something that I could order from fashion nova honestly. I hate I have to say it but... yeah its a no for me. Gown was designed by Usama Ishtay.
Alessia Cara. Yes maaa'aaam. She did not come to play, you guys! I don't know why I love this look, It just feels very classic, timeless.. Modern Wednesday Addams. Yesssss I love it. The only suggestion I would make, is to lower the hem of the dress to the toe of the shoe. The red lip added, a certain edge to the look!
Toni. Toni. Toni. Wow, okay. This is awful. A hot mess if you will... Her stylist should have KNOWN this was NOT going to be a look. Just look at it for a few seconds. I think the dress should have been lined. No shade to her, or the designer.

NOW THIS. This was my SECOND Favorite look of the night. HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVEEEEEEEEE THIS OMG. H.E.R looks absolutely amazing. This honestly might be one of my favorite looks of the season so far, just maybe. Like I don't have one negative comment to say about this!
I love Kylie as well but this, Its too much. I get it but I don't. She doesn't even look comfortable wearing this. In all of the red carpet pictures taken you can tell she was thinking "why did I agree to wear this, huge mistake". Her hair style and facial expressional saved this look. If she would have worn her hair any other way, I would've automatically said "no thanks, no ma'am.. however the "harder face" photos gives this a more interesting look.. I don't know if that makes sense but you get the point.. This was designed by Balmain.
Okay you guys! I covered A LOT. I really wanted to do more, but I AM TIRED. Currently writing this at 1 o'clock in the morning instead of studying (upside down smiley). I might do a part 2 but that just depends on the rest of my week! Maybe, maybe not. I really felt as if E! didn't showcase that many celebrities this time... interesting...
